Instagram doesn't give you a download button for other people's public Reels. If you have permission to keep one, the link is all you need, and you never have to log in.
How to save a Reel
- Open the Reel, press Share and choose Copy link.
- Open the Instagram video downloader and paste the link.
- Press Get video, choose MP4 or MP3 and press the download button.
Never give a downloader your password
A site or app that asks you to log in to Instagram could take over your account. Ours never asks, which also means that posts from private accounts can't be saved.
If a link doesn't work
Instagram sometimes refuses requests for public posts, so try again later. Also check that the post opens in a browser when you aren't logged in. Only save videos you made or have permission to use. A public video still belongs to its creator.
